The car touches all of us
For most of us, our first journey and our last will be in a motorised vehicle. It's impossible to avoid the powerful influence of cars in our everyday lives.
The car impacts on everything we do, and occasionally the impact is rather uncomfortable. For millions around the world it's a necessary evil. For just as many it's the subject of dreams, material aspiration and adrenaline fuelled entertainment.
Most of us come into contact with many different cars, each one attached, often by necessity, to a different stage of our lives. How many sports car dreams were cruelly dashed by the arrival of tiny feet? Just as our needs and our aspirations change with the passage of time, so do the cars in our lives.
So here's my challenge. Pick the ten cars of your life. Owning them isn't a requirement. These are the ten that touched your life and left a lasting impression, and for which you're grateful.
Or maybe not.
