The idea

The cars of your life

The car touches all of us at every stage of our lives. For most, our first journey and our last will be in a motorised vehicle.

It's impossible to avoid the powerful influence of cars in our everyday lives. The car impacts on everything we do, and occasionally the impact is rather uncomfortable.

For millions around the world the car is a necessary evil, but for just as many people it's the subject of dreams, material aspiration and adrenaline fuelled entertainment.

Most people come into contact with many different cars, each one associated, often by necessity, with a different stage of their lives. How many sports car dreams were cruelly dashed by the arrival of tiny feet? Just as our personal needs and aspirations fluctuate with the passage of time, so the nature of the cars in our lives also changes.

The challenge

So Noel Edmonds issues you with a challenge: pick the ten cars of your life. Ownership isn't a requirement. These are the ten cars that have touched your life and made a lasting impression, and for which you're grateful.

Or maybe not.

What happens to your answers

You fill in as many of the ten as you want to. It saves as you go, so you can come back and add to it whenever another one comes to mind. When you're happy with it, you send it in.

Every collection is read by a person before it goes anywhere. Once it's approved, it joins the Memory Wall and you get a page of your own that you can share or print. Nothing goes public until somebody has read it.
